Messrs. S. Smith & Sons, Ltd.,
Cricklewood Works,
London.N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr. P. Dorer.

Dear Sir,

We should be interested to know whether you have proceeded any further with your experiments using flexible capillary tubes in thermometers and oil gauges as suggested to your Mr. Russell on the occasion of his last visit. We shewed Mr. Russell a flexible tube thermometer made by Negretti & Zambra.

With regard to your query respecting the Negretti & Zambra altimeter, we have no further news of the same and regret that we are unable to give you any further information.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
