(7) RE. CRITICISMS OF C.S.C. ON DIPPING HEADLIGHTS.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} remarked that the sagging wire complained of should not have existed as there should be on the dash a small spring taking up any slack after the lamps have reached their stop. This would account probably for the small amount of dip obtained which we considered to be very inadequate. HO. will inform us of the angle of dip used by Barkers and we shall provide the same.

With reference to the coil spring encompassing the countershaft this was considered the neatest spring we could provide under the circumstances, it being appreciated that the spring must be up against the stop for the lamps. It was thought that the tubular fork supporting the lamp was rather too small and thin, and we suggest that Derby increase the size of this tube. The C.S.C. would like to see these lamps after these modifications have been made and we think that prior to the car being shewn to them we should see it at WW.
