Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} OCT 26 1925 Wa.{Mr Wallis} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C&S. X3809 BY15/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 25.10.25. RECEIVED As a result of running the present standard type of chassis with wheels fitted with well base rims and balloon tyres 33 x 6.75", it has been agreed that it is perfectly safe for us to order any further supplies of wheels which fall due in the near future, as fitted with well base rims suitable for 33 x 6.75" tyres. This does not mean that we commence at once to deliver this type of wheel and tyre to the customer. It only means that we order no more of the old type of wheels and tyres, but we have of course a stock of straight sided type wheels at the Works which have got to be used up before we come on to this new type of wheel and tyre, and in addition there are approximately 50 or 60 sets of wheels scattered about the Country, on Agents' cars, still unsold, on which it is Sales' policy to gradually replace the straight sided wheels with well base, and fit the straight sided on chassis which are definitely ordered by customers, the object being to use up our own stock of wheels and not to obviously date chassis which are in Agents' hands, and which are unsold, by the fact that they are not fitted with the latest type of wheel and tyre. In the meantime, no customer will be supplied with well base rims and balloon tyres on Phantom chassis unless he expressly orders them, and then he will be charged a higher price for same, the price in question being fixed by Sales.
