A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq., Messrs. Rolls Royce, Ltd., Derby. Dear Bill, Thank you for your letter of the 9th instant. I am sorry to know that I will not have the pleasure of meeting you at Olympia, and that I shall not find anything of interest so far as the Bentley is concerned. You speak of a large number of interesting experiments, which, I presume, in the course of years will be displayed to the public, with the result that those who now own the alleged best that money can buy for fast motoring, will be faced with a very heavy depreciation. If there are to be no changes next year, I think the best thing to do would be to stick to the car which I have got, a bit longer. With regard to the Phantom lll compared with the Hillman Minx, I can believe that the back seat riding of the former may be more luxurious, the price of course is prohibitive. I do not know whether I shall be able to get over to Derby before the end of the month, but I would like to do so if I can. I suggest you come and see us again in the near future, and I will try and arrange for my cousin to be available to play you at squash. Yours sincerely, Richard. | ||
