For the attention of G.H.Grylls, Esq. 8th November, 1938. Dear Sirs, Reverting to your letter of the 3rd November, we are afraid, after careful consideration, that your suggested method of valve arrangement in conjunction with cover discs would not be practicable, as the present standard rubber valve would not take up the position indicated on your sketch. Furthermore it would need to be some 1/2" longer to protrude sufficiently through the cover. Under the circumstances, and leaving aside for the moment the possible replacement complications of a non-standard valve arrangement, would you care to let us have sketches showing more detailed particulars of the cover discs in position on your two rim sizes, and we shall then be pleased to see if it is possible to offer any alternative suggestion giving the same effect, namely simplicity. Yours faithfully, For DUNLOP RUBBER CO., LTD. [Signature] Manager - Car Manfrs. Division. [Logo: 1938 DUNLOP 50 YEARS OF GROWTH] | ||
