Dear Sirs,

Houdaille Shock Absorbers.

We are extremely obliged for your letter Ref: ROY{Sir Henry Royce}4/MG27.2.24 of yesterday's date, contents of which are noted. We are sure you will not, however, blame us for sending you from time to time copies of any unsolicited testimonials received in respect of the fitting of Houdaille Shock Absorbers to your cars, as it naturally goes without saying that we are most anxious to endeavour to get you to standardise our shock absorbers.

With regard to testing them, we can most definitely assure you that it would not add to the existing pressure in your Research & Experimental Departments, in the slightest possible degree.

If you have a car that you anticipate using for a few years - perhaps a car that you keep to meet Clients at the Station etc., etc. - and fitted two pairs of Houdailles to it (or let us fit them for you whichever you preferred) the only test you would find necessary to make would be the test of time, i.e. to find out whether at the end of one, two or more years the Houdailles were just as perfect in condition and functioning just as perfectly as when
