-2- first installed. We tell you very definitely not only that such would be the case, but that other than very occasionally putting a little fresh Castor Oil into the recuperator chamber, no attention whatsoever would ever have to be given to them. We make this remark without any qualifications, because you would find such to be absolutely the case. You surely cannot suggest that the friction type you now fit are as efficient after considerable use as when fitted or, alternatively, that they can retain such efficiency without adjustment. Such is no more possible than suggesting that one would never have to adjust the Brakes on the car. It is no uncommon thing in our business - in fact we are constantly refitting Houdailles to new Cars after they have seen considerable service. We had yesterday a case of one Owner, who instructed us to take the Houdailles off his Talbot car which we fitted to it in 1914, with a view to fitting them to his new Star car. We found them to be working just as well as when they were first supplied to him. 10 years ago. We would not mind in the slightest how long you took over your "tests" of Houdailles, in fact the longer the better, because the longer you use them the more would you find yourselves in complete accord with everything we may say about them. What we do, however, hope we shall succeed in doing is to get you to fit a Set to a car. Yours faithfully, THE HOUDAILLE HYDRAULIC SUSPENSION CO. LTD. Colin Defries | ||
