PHILCO PHILCO RADIO AND TELEVISION CORPORATION OF GREAT BRITAIN, LTD. THE SOCIETY OF MOTOR MANUFACTURERS & TRADERS LTD LOGO Y6153. WST CAR RADIO DIVISION. In reply please quote AFDK/VWP. IHS Messrs. Rolls Royce, Ltd., DERBY. 6th., October 1934. Dear Sirs, We refer to a recent letter of yours requesting us to send you on arrival one of our new De Luxe Car Radio Receivers on loan for test purposes. We are pleased to advise that this set is being despatched to you to-day. As soon as you have had the opportunity of giving the set a thorough test, we shall be very pleased to have your comments. We would point out that to our knowledge this set is so far the most efficient car radio receiver placed on the market by any manufacturer. It is a 7 valve receiver having class B amplification, with an undistorted output of 5 watts. The 7 valves include 3 dual purpose valves, giving the receiver a performance equivalent to an ordinary 10 valve receiver. The retail price of this set is 24 guineas; we should, however, be very pleased to supply it to you at the net price of 13 guineas. Yours faithfully, PHILCO RADIO AND TELEVISION CORPORATION OF GREAT BRITAIN, LIMITED. [Signature] Manager, CAR RADIO DIVISION. Directors: James M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Skinner, U.S.A. C. L.
