Messrs Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs.,

We understand from our Representative in Liverpool, Mr.W.J.Cole, that he had the pleasure of an interview with your Mr.H.Royce regarding a Thermometer for a test car. We understand that he has put forward the Cambridge 4" Dial Thermometer with a standard range of -20/+40°C. It occurs to us, however, that as we have just completed some Thermometers of a smaller 2" dial type calibrated 0/50°C. this range would undoubtedly suit you better. The Thermometers would be similar to those normally supplied for use on your cars, and for your information we attach hereto a print of the dial in question which you will see gives very nice open readings. We should appreciate your instructions by return so as not to delay delivery.

The price of such a Thermometer fitted with 8-ft. of capillary tubing would be £3. 8. 0. less 15%, whilst a Cambridge 4" Dial Thermometer with 8-ft. of capillary tubing calibrated -20/+40°C. would be £4. 12. 0d. less 10%. Delivery of either can be made in 7 to 10 days from receipt of your instructions, which we now await.

Yours faithfully,

ENCL. Print.
