PY. FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} (PY. is struck through) Copy to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} (Struck through) Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M7.11.30. ORIGINAL (Stamped and struck through) X3310. X5310. X5V3. EPICYCLIC 3rd. SPEED GEARBOX REVISED. Herewith we send W. sch. 3166. shewing additional details of the above, namely, the clutch brake, oil filling and level device, clutch spigot lubrication, etc. We have indicated an 8.5" fabric coupling as being the largest that it appears possible to get into the clutch pit. We should be glad if Derby would investigate this size of coupling from the point of view of dismantling and let us have the results.
