We have had fitted a set of the above to the starter motor on 19-GIV. for the 10,000 mile test. The only fault we found with them was that the brush flexibles were not flexible enough such that it was practically impossible to pull the brushes out of their holders when secured in position. This stiffness also affects the available pressure on the brush on the commutator. With regard to the 40/50 motor brushes, as explained to you verbally, we were unable to fit these as the brush flexible emerged from the brush in such a way as to foul the spring slot. We understand you will be taking up these points with the makers. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HEW. | ||
