X8783do To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. Mr. Brock. EFC2/T13.2.28. CUSTOMERS' COMPLAINT DYNAMOS - PHANTOM. Practically all machines of the early standard type which are returned to us as faulty are cases of the commutator solder having been melted as a result of the angle between the control and main brushes of 120o. We do not think it is necessary for us to continue to receive any further machines of this type for inspection, and therefore shall be pleased if you will arrange for their discontinuance. We shall expect to receive faulty machines of the later standard type with the 122o angle and any machines of the modified and new standard N.B. types, showing faults that require investigation.
