"HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" DERBY XP32 HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales}7/MM.6.2.26. Dear "HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}", A friend of mine, Mr. F.{Mr Friese} Delves, of 117, rue Caulaincourt, Paris, has just brought out a one way shock absorber, which is oiled filled. I showed this to "OJ" and "Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}" when they were in Paris recently, and also to Commander Briggs. They informed me that you were at present carrying out a series of expirements with shock absorbers, and I thought you might be interested to have particulars of this one. Mr. Delves is now in London, his address being : The "Maco" Template & Engineering Co Ltd., Audry House, Ely Place London where he has a set of these shock absorbers, together with a set of drawings which he would very much like to forward to you. Although this apparatus may be not at all suitable for our cars, I thought you might, however, be interested in having details of it, and if you would care to drop a line to the "Maco" Template & Engineering Co, they will be delighted to forward you a set for trial, together with drawings and full details. Please therefore communicate with these people if you would care to have any further information about this apparatus. Yours Sincerely, C. Hawkins. HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} HK{Col. T.
