To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1166. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce}2/B.11.5.38. Messrs. S. Smith & Sons, Cricklewood, continue their policy of absorbing competitors. You will recollect some few months back they absorbed the Jack handled by Sessions - the D.W.S. Jack. Now they have absorbed the Stevenson Jack and all such Jacks will be made in due course in their Works at Cricklewood. Mr. Sessions himself has joined them and is mainly responsible for sales and design. They contemplate forming a subsidiary company shortly, to be known as "SMITH'S JACKING SYSTEMS LIMITED".
