Foot Switch. LOP.DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}695.

The foot switch gave no trouble.

Horns & Fittings. Lamps. LOP.D.75313.

The horns have been very poor indeed.
Sometimes it seems as if they are practically useless in trying to overtake a large vehicle. Insistant blowing seems to make no difference. They fail in fog and storms, and frequently in snow. The mountings remained firm and gave no trouble. The lamps were good, no trouble being experienced in any way.

Direction Indicators.

These have worked well but often stay out under the force of wind. Some form of spring return would help, or perhaps a small weight to make them drop back with more certainty.

Petrol Gauge.

The original gauge was found to be giving a faulty reading, and was replaced in Paris on its return from Spain.

We found that the new gauge would continually stick when the tank was being filled up, and would not give a true reading until either the car was rocked to and fro, or driven a short distance. This was somewhat inconvenient, and there is no doubt that a customer's chauffeur would most probably over flow his tank.

Windscreen Wipers.

Make a loud rattling noise in operation, and the blades do not synchronise due to slackness in the mechanism.

Curros Fog Lamp.

This lamp casts a flat beam but does not seem to pick out the curves of the road in fog as clearly as a concentrated beam might, apart from this the lamp gave us no trouble.

Petrol Pumps. LOP.D.74510.

We have not experienced any troubles mechanically from the pumps. No leaks have been apparent, and they have stood up well. We have had a certain amount of
