12-G-4. STEERING.

With reference to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG21828.,
we thought that the 'shiver' which we remarked upon occurred at speeds much lower than 56 MPH., though we did notice that when we touched 55 MPH. the striking of road irregularities appeared to give rather a prolonged 'shiver'. No doubt you will verify your theory as to the smaller wheels by trying a set of standards.

As you are aware we have not done on this front axle all the things that we have done on the Phantom, and for the complete India 3. we have to instruct a new axle with an increased drop in the centre, when we shall take the opportunity of giving you considerable out-of-centre-point, as well as the other improvements.
