HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to BJ. ORIGINAL E2/M24.8.28. X5771 X5080 X1053 re. 20HP. SLOW RUNNING. The general standard of slow running on the 20HP. has never been superlatively high, and this we have attributed to the combustion chamber. We are now inclined to think that some improvement could be effected by an alteration to the carburetter, such as the addition of a slot near the edge of the throttle connected to the starter carbur-etter. With a view to making a preliminary test for such a scheme R.{Sir Henry Royce} would like you to try the Zenith carburetter on the 20HP. for slow running. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
