Points to be Noted in the Production of R.R.S. Motors.
1) Care should be taken in making the 'brushholders so as to give a minimum brush clearance.
2) Care should be taken in all work connected with the fixing of the position of the brushes; a difference of two or three degrees from the correct position making an appreciable difference in the performance of a motor.
3) It should be seen that the spring does not catch against the side of the slot in the brush-holder thus reducing the force applied to the brush.
4) Before running a motor, the brushes should be bedded in to at least 80% of their contact surface.
Signed Contd.
This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
