CONTD -2- to use this small jet, except for starting, so that it can be han adjusted strong enough to always give a satisfactory start. We are pleased to hear that you could get quite satisfactory slow running with the usual low speed jet of the main carburetter, and we think that with suitable control from the steering wheel arranged to move the butterfly throttle extremely slowly at first, you will be able to adjust the but- terfly throttle already provided to give satisfaction. It will not be necessary for the hand control to open this throttle more than just enough to start the car on a hill. The movement by this means can commence extremely slowly as we have found it advisable to do on the large car when we cancelled the governor. Mr. Elliott is re-arranging the design of this control accordingly, which you should get in about a week. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
