Dear Mr. Robotham, 'Mr. Minchin has told me of the conversation which he had with you recently regarding the hydraulic transmitter which we were getting ready for you. I understand that your experimental work on cars is closed down for the time being, but that if you could get the transmitter fitted on to a car now you would like to do so. I enclose herewith an outline drawing of the transmitter and reverse gear box, which will enable you to see how it would fit in on one of your cars. It is, of course, the size suitable for the 25/30 Rolls-Royce or Bentley. I have just been told by the Air Ministry that they require some more transmitters from us urgently, but at the moment it is difficult to say whether we could undertake the work of fitting the transmitter to your Bentley if you wished us to do so, but on this point I hope to know more in about a week's time. Needless to say I shall be very glad to do it for you if you wanted us to as I feel that the only way in which it is possible to form a correct opinion of the transmitter is to drive it continuously on one's own car.
