[Handwritten note top left]: Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} for filing
[Handwritten note middle left]: We have written to MR Moore. 12/11/40

W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Robotham,

I saw Moore to-day and asked him how he was getting on with you and the proposed Transmitter which he has now ready for you, but he said that although he sent you the drawing you wanted some weeks ago he has not heard from you about it. I said I would write and stir you up.

I know that one of your troubles was not being able to do any work but if he supplies the transmitter, all you want to put it on the car is the bell housing to bolt on to the back of the engine to hold the transmitter, for which you would have to supply the drawing.

If you cannot make this, Moore thinks he might be able to or I think we might be able to make it for you in our tool room. I think we could squeeze it through if it would help you.

Moore also had the idea that it might be possible to get the drive for your servo off the gear box although it might mean a little alteration to the gear box casting on the outside to take this mechanism. If this could be done, it may necessitate delay but I do not think that matters and here again I think we could machine up the gear box casing for him as we have just done some for use on balloon winches.

With this information, perhaps you could look into the matter and if you write Moore, perhaps you could send me a copy.

Hoping all is well with you,

Yours sincerely,
C.R.N. Minchin
