re Steering Pivots.

Ha. 10.12.13. Dal/G101213.

In reply to Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/WH4/L91213, re the above, I have gone carefully through the correspondence and records I have and find as follows:-

In alteration book No.3, is an entry under date 16th April 1913. No.4095 - F.3372/3 supersede F.3338/9, F.3253/4 and F.2352/3. The authority given is Mr. Royce's R1/B4413. The entry is signed by the usual people and seems alright.

Our Supervision sheet F.3397 for Dunlop Wire Wheels for 2700, is signed R.D.S. and was made about the same time, but is not dated. This gives F.3372/3 as standard for that series.

It is evident also from fragmentary correspondence I have, that these pivots were generally regarded as standard, O.O. at one time contemplating putting them on 2600.

Further, since the adoption of the above, this experiment X168 has never appeared on the urgency list, though it is evident that if the matter were still in the experimental stage, it must have been extremely urgent at some time.

This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers.
