The oil level .625" from the filler plug hole. The damper load has remained consistent both front and rear. The lubrication of the rear damper connecting links has been made O.K. by fitting a No 2 Bijur plug and altering the pluggers to allow a larger oil way( scheme sent out) The front connecting links have been amply lubricated.

RADIATOR AND FITTINGS TO L.OP. F 55062 CHROMIUM PLATED

The chromium plating is wearing away from the sharp corners of the top tank of the radiator showing the bare metal. No water leaks have developed, the total loss of water from the system has been very small approx. one pint per week running. Weather conditions has been cold. The radiator shutters are in good conditions and operate O.K. The ankorage of the radiator has given no trouble. Slight indentations in the top tank have been made by the bonnet hinges chattering endway. The radiator tie rod has not failed during this trip.

BONNET TO L.O.P E 55063

The features as reported at 5,000 miles remain the same.

BATTERY BOX.

The ankorage of the battery box is still in good condition no play has developed in the tie rod or ankorage. The battery has given no trouble, it has been kept fully charged by two to three hours charging per day. No water was necessary at this mileage.

BODY SUBFRAME TO L.OP. F 55704

The subframe and ankorage appear to be O.K. We cannot detect from outside observation any faults, examination whilst running does not show any movement taking place.

FRONT WINGS AND STAYS TO L.OP. F 55778

With the exception that further fractures have taken place on the front stays our report at 5,000 miles covers our opinion of the stay and wings.

PETROL TANK TO L.OP. F 56487

The petrol tank and ankorage are still in good condition. The filter was practically clean when taken out for examination We would like to suggest that the filler pipe and cap on tank be made the same size as the Phantom II. It would standardise this fitting and it is just as much wanted for filling purposes on the 25 HP as on the Phantom II

PETROL GAUGE F 56250/F 56367

The gauge is working correctly during this trip, no leaks have developed. Reading of the gauge is apprx. correct.
