1247 [STAMP: MEMBER OF INSTITUTE OF PATENTEES (INC)] 30 JAY MEWS LONDON, S.W.7 KENSINGTON 0177 Specification retd by J Rushton. 26th May 1938 Dear Sir, Mr Tresiger advised me to send you the enclosed patent specifications. May I especially draw your attention to my patent No 477155 concerning synchromesh, which I believe to be the only one fully patented in England possessing the same advantages as those offered under American patents, and being at the same time superior by its simplicity, easy assembly, and economy in production. The enclosed blue print of a gear box shows the simplicity and compactness of my synchromesh. A positive check preventing too early an engagement of the dogs, which I have incorporated, is not an exclusivity of General Motors patents, but was already included in Humphries' patent of 1912 which I enclose for comparison. | ||
