To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x 20 6 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}8/KW.18.4.34. 2-B-IV. Owing to the complaints by Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} about the brakes on this car, we wish to modify them by fitting FB.4.A linings all round, and also attaching the linings by brass rivets with the head of the rivet increased so as to rub against the brake drum. The car will be here on Tuesday next, so could you please have the rivets ready by that date. The car is already equipped with steel brake shoes which are necessary for this experiment.
