Investigation showed that the oil can get in at two points at the inner carrier plate G83397/8 - (1) Where the plate fits round the stub axle due to excess of oil from top of pivot. (2) Oil drips from the lower end of pivot on to the joint of carrier plate G83397/8 and outer carrier plate G83401/2. We are making a seal at these two points on chassis on test and chassis now being built, by the use of Heldite jointing material. | ||
