x306 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/APM.23/KW.30.6.36. Phantom III Brake Rivets. Owing to the Test Dept. having experienced complete failure of the rivets which hold the Ferodo on the shoe, we want to have the brakes of the next Ph.III to go in the shop (35-EX) re-lined, using Ph.II type No.7 Tinman's headed solid copper semi-tubular rivets, which are obtainable in 3 sizes from the Repair Dept. To do this, the holes in the Ferodo S.5805 will have to be opened out with a flat bottomed drill. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.F.Martindale. | ||
