BENTLEY 111 - FRONT SUSPENSION LEVERS. Referring to BY.25/N.2.12.37. I was rather under the impression when writing this memo that the nickel chrome steel was required for case hardening purposes and that it was to specification 236. I find, however, that it is to specification 2082 and within the brinell range that we propose to use 3 1/2% nickel steel will give equally good properties. In view of this, therefore, the D.O. should alter the material to 3 1/2% nickel steel using a brinell of 286 to 321. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BM | ||
