Dear Sirs,

Re 20HP. Chassis GKM-40. T. Shire,Esq.

We thank you for your letter Hm {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} /WW5/W30.11.28, to hand this morning, re the above.

We have spoken to Mr.Shires on the telephone, and he has pointed out that he only took delivery of the car with the coachwork in lead colour, the early part of August, and that he has had it back at Derby from September 17th. to 29th., since when we have had it in our Works for a month for the completion of the painting.

He also does not feel inclined to send the car back to the Works again, unless you can give him a guarantee that he will have no further trouble with it on its return.

This is a particularly unfortunate case.

Yours faithfully,

(Sgd) R-R. {Sir Henry Royce}
for RIPPON BROS.LTD.
