Mr. Burton, Messrs. Rolls-Royce of America Inc. 21st February, 1931. -4- P.S. In reading over the above I am not sure that I have made myself quite clear. Put in a more general way, we have, owing to the use of very heavy consumption head lamps (5 amperes each and perhaps more) the problem of obtaining from our machines a relatively much greater output than in your case, and I think you will appreciate that there is considerable difficulty in this without alteration to the size and weight of the dynamo. Already, we have good reason to think that the general performance of our machine is at least as good and probably better for its size and weights than that of any other machine produced. The detailed explanation of the whole matter is somewhat intricate - it has taken us ourselves a considerable time to arrive at a definite or unambiguous way of comparing outputs. | ||
