Models of the condenser with this connection have now been completed, one of which we now send under separate cover for your inspection. This has also been provided with an arrangement to overcome the tearing of the condenser mica in removing and replacing the condenser box from the distributor unit, a fault which was complained of by the Test Dept. In addition to this we are running with a circuit connected definitely to the earthing terminal without making use of an earthing connection through the supporting rig, and judging by appearances, this seems to eliminate entirely such sparking at the contact points as existed with the old arrangement. One of our tests consists in running tungsten contact points with this superior connection.
