+300a To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}23/KW.28.5.35. Rear Axle - SpectreCodename for Phantom III III. 10,000 Miles Test. In view of the wear that has taken place on the pinion bearing of SpectreCodename for Phantom III I, amounting to a total end float of .006" and the poor condition of the tracks, will you please fit to SpectreCodename for Phantom III III a Ransome & Marles 2MDJT35 bearing like that in SpectreCodename for Phantom III II. There are none of these left in the stores. When ordering these please make sure that they have steel cages. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} is issuing a drawing of improved lubrication of the differential, which will consist of modifications to existing pieces. Will you please incorporate these also. The axle should be filled with Wakefield's Hi-press oil. Will you also send the Hoffmann bearing out of SpectreCodename for Phantom III I to the makers, for their comments.
