Result of Test.

A.C. Speedometer and Revolution Counter
19,320 miles. Good for accuracy and dead beat action. Inclined to fluctuate at very low speeds and more sensitive to bends in cables than standard instruments. This fluctuation improved with running. The speedometer trip gave trouble due to the hundreds figure recording incorrectly at times, and the trip figures finally became displaced in the instrument. The arrangement for re-setting the trip to zero was awkward to work and entailed too much turning of the knob.

Widney Bonnet Hinge.
19,320 miles. (15,020 miles since rust-proofing). No trouble experienced. Appears satisfactory.

6.50" Section Tyres on 17" Road Wheels.
19,320 miles. General stability, directional control and cornering power very marked improvement over standard. The life approached double that of the standard 5.50 x 18" tyres under similar conditions.

R.100 Lucas Headlamps.
Rattles developed from O.S. lamp due to slack in hinge pin of lamp front. No other troubles experienced. Dipping reflectors were not used.

Lucas Self-starter with special flywheel to suit.
13,268 miles. Effective in action throughout mileage. No trouble experienced. More violent noise on engagement than standard and slightly more noisy but not objectionable. Satisfactory, subject to strip report.
