Armstrong Rear Shock Dampers with rod control
11,404 miles. The dampers were effective in action and remained free from knocks. The maximum poundage was not sufficient for wavy roads at high speeds. Considerable loss of oil was experienced from the gland of the NS.{Norman Scott} damper and end play on the shaft was noted. The rod control was not generally satisfactory.

Increased leak in R.R. Front Dampers.
This improved the low speed ride and did not impair the roadholding at higher speeds.

Woodhead 5 Plate Rear Road Springs.
19,320 miles. No trouble experienced, and no loss of buffer clearance during the mileage. Satisfactory, subject to strip report. No jack pads were fitted.

No Gaiters on Road Springs.
13,268 miles. Creaks were experienced from the front springs, but it cannot definitely be said that this was due to absence of gaiters, as Bentley springs with gaiters are frequently found rusted up.

Lightened Petrol Tank.
19,320 miles. No trouble experienced.

Clayton Car Heater.
15,020 miles. Preferred to previous heaters tried. Range of control very good. No trouble experienced. It is important when installing to see that there is room for the foot to pass between the heater and the clutch pedal. It is also important to see that the hose connections are good as if one of these should pull off, hot water is pumped onto one's feet.
