| [Forward Text] Yours sincerely, (sgd) Raymond Mays. P.S. I can arrange to leave the car with you for two days (Say Thursday evening). [Mirrored text from a separate document, transcribed] B.I.R.A. ON M.D. CHARLES. The modified brakes have been examined by Mr Robotham and I have seen his report. He appears to be a little disappointed but I think they are a great improvement. A few points are worth noting:- 1. There is a slight pulsation of the brake pedal, which is very much less than before, but I hope this can be entirely eliminated. It is most noticeable when braking from about 60 m.p.h. to 40 m.p.h. 2. There is still a noise from the front of the car, which could be fan belt, but I do not think so. It seems to come on at certain engine speeds. It is very difficult to locate and seems to be worse when the car is hot. I think it is most important that this should be cured. I should like you to look at the car in its running trim. Only then can we smooth out the engine properly. I do not know what other things would be responsible, but I think this is about it. I want to improve it if we can from this standard. You do not place much heed over this. ...[illegible]... P.T.O. | ||
