After speaking to you on the telephone this morning I endeavoured to find out why we should have sent to you a wider bonnet rest of the special construction you required, than that ordered by you, namely, .875" as against .8". From the correspondence it appears as though we paid more attention to quality of surface construction than we did to the dimensions and, unfortunately, a width of .875" was sent to you without comment. If you can adopt this width slot it will save us having to start again and a corresponding weaving delay. I have further enquired into the position concerning V belts and regret there will be a delay of another week or so before we can deliver the new size. If you should happen to require further belts of the first size for test we have two more available.
