xx 2424. 1026 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.11/MH.{M. Huckerby} 27th. January 1938. Messrs. Ferodo Ltd., Chapel-en-le-Frith. For the attention of Mr.Longley. Dear Sirs, Further to our telephone conversation of to-day, we have decided that the simplest procedure is for us to retain the .875 width of 'Bon-Rest' strip (S.6891) which you can make at present, in view of the fact that the drawings of our rest angle slots have now been modified accordingly. The order for 600 ft. of the 'Bon-Rest' which you have, should therefore be supplied in .875 width material, we are instructing our Order Office accordingly. If you could let us have the 48 ft. of this material which you mentioned with a minimum of delay (in advance of the rest of the order) we should be greatly obliged. Will you please ring the writer and let him know exactly when this will be available. We would like you to send us the two 'Fero-grip' fan belts (similar to the three already supplied under your advice note J.12381 of 3rd. December) which you have completed, as they will be very useful to us for test purposes. We would also like to receive the other belts which you are making for us with as little delay as possible. We note that you think that it will be another week before they are available. Incidentally, we would like to know whether you supply these belts in a black or dark grey colour. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
