Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}1/KW. 11th September, 1936. The Light Production Co.Ltd., 60/66, Rochester Row, Westminster, London, S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. C.H. Brooks. Dear Sirs, We should like you to supply us with the following rings as early as possible :- 48. E.88333 Rings as drawing for use with stops. 48. E.88333 Rings, but for use without stops. 144. E.88334 Rings as drawing for use with stops. 216. E.88334 Rings, but for use without stops. With regard to the E.61115 rings you supplied to us recently, we find that the wall pressure is rather low and the average is 12.2 lbs/sq.in. If you remember, the writer queried the pressure mentioned on our drawing, and stated that he thought they would be in the region of 15 lbs/sq.in., but in your letter of August 19th, you thought the wall pressure would be in the region of 18 - 19 lbs/sq.in. We wonder whether you took into account the fact that the rings would be used with .102" stops. We have not yet received the rings to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}189 and Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}190; we should like to know an approximate date for delivery of these. | ||
