Description of Parts: FELT STRIP ON ENGINE GUARD.
Origin: To keep out the mud.
Experimental Test Report: On the first Phantom cars to run in France a considerable amount of mud got into the gearbox undershield through the joint between the crankcase and the guard. The modified guard has a strip of felt to prevent this.
Road Test Report: Run 14,000 miles on 8-EX - is an improvement over the present standard Lec. 2091.
