W.A.Robotham Esq.,
Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Robotham,

I was pleased to see your noble signature again and to hear that you are back in England after your numerous travels.

The 12-cylinder Packard in question is of the latest type with independent front wheel springing. As a matter of fact, it only landed in England a few weeks ago direct from America. It has just been run in and I had a short run on it myself and must say that I was very impressed with the smoothness of the engine.

I thought it may be of interest to you, because should this type of Car have any nuts and bolts which you wish to look at, there is no reason at all why you should pay duty - you could, after your experiments, re-export the Car either to the Continent or America. However, there it is if it is of interest.

Don't forget to look in and see me when you are next in town.

Best regards,

Yours sincerely,

F.L.Manning
