KESTREL IV. HIGH SPEED FLIGHT.

We have completed an hours run on a standard Kestrel fitted with a Goshawk I type blower, running at 3000 R.P.M. full throttle.

The average HP. for the hour was 1040.

We have also completed an hours run at 2500 full throttle at 870 HP.

These were a number of tests which were required in order to ensure that the engines to be used in the High Speed Fury were air-worthy.

As an extra proof run the engine is now being rebuilt and will do a special category test.

A report is being prepared.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
