SUSPENSION.

30.G.7. We have fitted up the refill valves on as per the sample you sent us.

We are satisfied that the loss of front damper poundage we have experienced is due to excessive leak as a result of the main valve sticking slightly open due to dirt in the floating brass sleeve. We have done all we can to clean the dampers out and will let you know how we get on. We have received and fitted the new valve holder.

When we stripped the nearside damper, we found that the spring ring had fallen out of the piston and that the replenishing valve and dished washer were knocked to pieces. We have made good the damage, but had to rob one of the Bentley dampers of a dished washer and spring ring. Please send us replacements for these.

Will you also please send a pair of the long soft front bump buffers as on 9.B.V., as when the car does come on the buffers hard, the impact is too severe.
