MACHINE FOR TESTING HELICAL SPRINGS.

When we were at Dagenham, we saw a machine which the Ford Motor Co. had developed to help them out of their difficulty in getting springs giving accurate poundages in quantities. We have, for a long time, felt dissatisfied with our own methods of checking the poundage of Valve springs, synchromesh plunger springs, and others where it is important that the poundage should be accurately maintained.

This particular machine is an Avery balance with a platform supported on substantial sliders so that the load can be applied vertically.
We suggest that you might like to get particulars of this machine from Averys'.
