Cont'd- -2- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}14/SW.18.6.41. to give the same "Tee" bends as B.V. A full analysis should then be taken as per the recent B.V. test; to include :- (a) Full throttle specific consumption. (b) Throttle constant speed curves. (c) Air valve lift for (a) and (b) with induction pipe depression. (d) It should be carefully checked, whether the air- valve lift is being influenced at all by the fitting of the air bend and silencer The system will then be available for road test. NOTE :- The cam control for the second stage throttles, must be so adjusted to let these throttles fully close, otherwise the behaviour of the air valve will be erratic.
