To BJ. from Hm. {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} C. to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. to BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X4118 Hm {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} 8/W23.3.26. Chassis No. GPK.43 - Mackay, Harrogate. " " GSK.76 - J.E. Hutton. BJ7/H22.3.26, and attached correspondence. and BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} We have discussed the above memoranda with Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} The only thing we know of at present to overcome this trouble is a Friction Device which can be fitted at the bottom of the Steering Pivots. Such a Device is now being tested on an experimental car, but has not yet been standardised. Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} is visiting the Works to-morrow, and Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is asking him if possible, to make a recommendation to you to have this Device fitted at once on cars which are giving low speed steering wobble troubles, such as in the cases you mention. It will be necessary for the cars to come to the Works for this to be done. Hm. {Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
