Re cotton fabric cone clutches.

With reference to your attached note, the following is an outline of the progress of this clutch through its various stages.

Nov. 1st. After having discussed the cone clutch fitted with cotton belting in segments the Committee agreed that Mr Nadin should obtain some fabric made in one piece to suit the cone.

Dec. 6th. Mr Nadin submitted to Committee a sample cone on these lines, but owing to the badly made joint we agreed that it should be returned to the makers for correction.

Dec. 14th. A further sample was submitted to Committee in which the joint had been improved but was not yet quite satisfactory. We agreed however to test this sample.

Dec. 18th. The above sample was sent to Mr Wormald by Mr Bailey.

Jan. 4th. The sample was fitted and passed on to Test Dept.

Jan 17th. Mr Platford reported to Committee that the
