Contd. -2- EFC2/T1.10.23. control brush pressure between limits three-quarters of this. We should be glad if you would have these figures now definitely added to the specification of inspection and test X.3604do dated 20.7.23. Generally speaking, we feel that the brush spring pressures on the average come out much lower than intended and if the necessary reason for this cannot be located, it appears that we ought to arrange the design with the spring makers to call for higher spring pressure than at present. On our part we shall not be content until the spring pressures come out finally more satisfactorily between the limits given. The question of variation of output due to changes of brush bedding on machines generally, we are dealing with, as already stated, in other reports, particularly EFC1/T1.10.23. We return herewith dynamo No.318 in question, to Mr. Brock. EFC. | ||
