X1282 To Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. to Lp. {Mr Lappin} Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 4/KW.19.9.36. Cleveland Discol. Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 1/E.17.9.36 Attached is copy of a letter from the S.U. Company. I think the petrol pump diaphragms are still being improved, and shortly they will deal with Discol without the chance of a failure. Lappin's last petrol pump packed up when run on Discol. Naturally there is a variation between different cars. In view of the misfiring trouble with Ethyl, we are renewing our interest in Discol.
