Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to Ch. c. to HOR. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ✔ c. to EH. RECEIVED STAMP: OCT 6 1922 GOSHAWK - WHEEL CARRIER ON RUNNING BOARD. Y4085 We send you herewith N.scheme 1332 shewing a revised wheel carrier on the near-side to be used for carrying the spare wheel(which is normally at the rear) when a luggage grid is in use. The modifications we have made are necessitated by the removal of the trough which the coachbuilders have objected to on account of it's ugliness when the wheel is not in position, which is normally the case. We would like you to make one of these, substituting bronze castings for any of the forgings, and to try it for it's general rigidity, and also service on a car, at a very early date, as we shall be receiving orders for these in quantities very shortly, and we feel it highly advisable that this fitment should be of our design and manufacture. Will you please arrange for a price for this carrier to be sent to both ourselves and Sales. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
