GOSHAWK II. SWITCH-BOX TO ACCOMMODATE MAGNETO IGNITION.

We send you herewith drawing No. LeC 1632, showing the above.

The magneto switch has been placed on the back of the moulding, and the wire to the magneto is intended to pass through the conduit from the switch-box to the dashboard. Having arrived at the dash it passes out behind the distribution board into the bonnet through a groove in the back of the distribution board moulding. Very possibly it can run along the dashboard conduit towards the magneto. In this way the magneto wire will be protected against unauthorised interference so that it will be impossible to nip this wire through and start the car up without unlocking the ignition or the bonnet.

Mr. Royce thinks that for the sake of convenience, all switch-boxes should have this alteration made to them.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
